Small on purpose.
Mariva Charter is an independent private jet charter brokerage based in Los Angeles. One advisor, a short list of trusted operators, and every trip arranged by hand.
The opposite of a marketplace app.
Mariva Charter was founded by Marius Ivascu, who spent more than 15 years with major airlines in Europe and the Middle East. That airline background shapes how every trip is arranged: careful planning, safety standards that are never negotiable, and clear communication from first call to landing.
We are deliberately small. When you call, you reach Marius. The person who prices your trip is the one who checks the operator, briefs you on the day and answers the phone if plans change. There is no call center, no bidding app and no membership to buy.
The business is built to grow by referral, one well-run trip at a time. If we look after you well, we hope you’ll introduce us to someone you trust — and if we can help someone you know, we’re always glad to hear from them.
Our standards, in plain words.
We are a broker, not an operator. Mariva Charter does not own, operate or maintain aircraft. Every flight we arrange is operated by an FAA Part 135 certificated air carrier — or the foreign equivalent outside the US — and that operator keeps full operational control of the aircraft at all times: the crew, the aircraft and every go/no-go decision.
We use rated operators only. We source aircraft only from operators that hold an ARGUS Gold or Platinum rating, Wyvern Wingman status, or IS-BAO registration. These are independent safety audits of the operator; they are not ratings of Mariva Charter, and we don’t display anyone else’s badge as our own.
We check every trip, not just every operator. Before you fly, we verify:
- the operator’s Part 135 certificate and that the specific aircraft is listed on it;
- the operator’s insurance, including liability limits;
- the experience of the crew assigned to your flight, including airport-specific experience where it matters (Aspen, for example);
- that your quote names the operator who will actually fly the trip.
If something changes, you hear it from us first. If an aircraft goes out of service or an operator substitutes another aircraft, we tell you before you travel and only offer replacements that meet the same standards.
Broker disclosure. Mariva Charter is an air charter broker and does not own, operate or maintain aircraft. All flights are operated by FAA Part 135 certificated air carriers (or foreign equivalents) that exercise full operational control of the aircraft. Mariva Charter acts as agent for the client in arranging carriage by air.
